13: What’s New in Streaming – January 22, 2021
Highlights of what’s new on streaming this week…
Netflix
Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous, season 2 (Jan. 22) – Yeah, that’s right, a Jurassic World animated series!
Fate: The Winx Saga (Jan. 22) – Live-action young adult fantasy/drama series based on the animated Winx series from Nickelodeon.
HBO Max
Locked Down (Jan. 14) – A couple attempts a high-risk, high-stakes jewelry heist at a department store.
Painting With John, series premiere (Jan. 22) – Musician, actor, and director John Lurie gives us a pseudo-philosophical anti-Bob Ross series, opining about life as he paints for the camera.
Euphoria, special episode, part 2 (Jan. 24) – The 2nd “special episode” to the critically acclaimed series, bridging the gap between the 1st and 2nd seasons.
Wonder Woman 1984 (Jan. 24) – Leaves HBO Max.
Amazon Prime Video
One Night in Miami (Jan. 15) – Previously slated for a Christmas Day release (as discussed in our Dec. 19th episode of What’s New In Streaming)… but I guess they moved it and we didn’t get the memo?
Flack, season 2 (Jan. 22) – The dark comedy starring Anna Paquin gets a second season at Amazon Prime Video after being canceled by ViacomCBS’ Pop TV. Paquin stars as Robyn, an American publicist working in the cutthroat London PR world.
The Expanse, season 5 Finale (Jan. 22) – time to catch up if you want to binge everything.
TNT
Snowpiercer, season 2 (Jan. 25) – Premiering January 25 on TNT, Snowpiercer plays on Netflix in Ireland and the UK so hopefully our friends across the pond will get all this Sean Bean naughtiness soon enough.
